Hey folks! So, it’s me again, just popping in with Sid and Tim to chat about, well, a little bit of everything gaming this week. Honestly, the new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer kinda blew my mind. Like, why does it have to look so real? It’s a bit freaky, but in a good way? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me being weird.
Anyway, onto this game called Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It’s doing something funky with the turn-based RPG style. Imagine mixing old-school vibes with some new twists. Does it work? Well, maybe. Depends on what you’re into, I guess.
And then there’s Doom: The Dark Ages. Seriously, medieval times with Doom is like, who thought of this and why didn’t they do it sooner? The mix of swords and demons just feels right, even though I never thought I’d say that. It’s messy but kinda beautiful. You gotta see (or hear!) it to get what I mean.
Oh, and there’s a bunch of stuff coming up next week too. Lemme list ’em real quick:
– Labyrinth of the Demon King on PS5 and PS4. I mean, the title alone had me hooked.
– Palia for PS5. Which sounds peaceful? Or maybe not? I can’t decide.
– Smash Drums on PS VR2. Hopefully, it doesn’t smash my eardrums or something.
– Doom: The Dark Ages on PS5 again—because why not mention it twice!
– Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on PS4. Because we can never have too many of those, right?
Then there’s Destiny 2, pulling out not one, but two big expansions: The Edge of Fate hits July 15, and Renegades waits till Dec 2. They spoil us, don’t they?
And hey, Elden Ring Nightreign is really getting deep with, uh, classes or combat or something. I got a bit lost in there, not gonna lie. But if you love that complicated stuff, this one’s for you.
Speaking of complicated geniuses, I had some hands-on time with Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Also, snagged an interview with Hideo Kojima — I might have fanboyed a little.
Oh, almost forgot Helldivers 2. The “regal Masters of Ceremony” feel like they demand my attention, whether I like it or not. And who can ignore Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 revamp? Nine new skate parks to try my best to NOT crash in. Good luck to my clumsy self.
Before I sign off, a quick shoutout to Dormilón for our totally awesome theme song and vibes. Keeps everything groovy.
Remember, game dates can be a bit unpredictable, like my attention span. Info’s straight from press releases or, I dunno, ESRB ratings or something like that. So keep your eyes open for changes!
