Alright, so here’s the scoop. There’s this game, Children of Morta—came out back in 2019 for PS4 and guess what? It’s now just $4.39. Yeah, you heard that right. Some sale thing or another—‘July Savings’ 2025—is what’s making it so cheap. I didn’t even realize it was already playable on PS5. Packed with content too, apparently. Who would’ve thought?
Okay, I gotta talk about this title first because, well, imagine seeing it slashed down by 80%! Not kidding. And it’s not just the game itself that’s on sale. There are these add-ons—Ancient Spirits or something like that. PS Plus users get it for $1.74, which totally feels like a steal. If you’re not a subscriber, though, it’s $1.99. There’s also Paws and Claws DLC—I mean, what does that even mean? Cats and dogs?—just $0.69 for subscribers, $0.79 otherwise. It’s practically pocket change at this point.
Totally worth it, considering that the whole package, like the complete edition, usually goes for $26.99. Big deal, right? But there’s a catch—this offer lasts only until July 17. So, if you procrastinate like me, better snap out of it.
The story, oh man, is about the Bergson family. Makes me think of some epic novel. Seven characters that you get to play as. The blurb or whatever calls it “an adventure of an extraordinary family of heroes.” There’s some “Corruption” mucking things up all over, and they’re the guardians of Mountain Morta. Got me thinking—is it a metaphor or just literal mountain guardians? Who knows.
You can play with friends too. There’s this Family Trials mode. Separate from the main campaign, so if you’re like juggling a hundred things, you can just dive into that. I wouldn’t know, haven’t tried it myself.
Anyway, whether you’re into that kind of stuff or not, seems like a bunch of fun for cheap. Perfect for wasting time, if nothing else. But yeah, that’s the lowdown.
