Sure thing. Here we go.

You ever notice how games keep evolving? Take “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” from Sandfall Interactive. It’s like, freshly out in the gaming world and folks are already figuring out how to turn this one character skill into basically a nuke. Literally, “Stendhal” — I mean, sounds fancy, right? — is pretty much wrecking everything. But tomorrow, May 9th, it’s getting a nerf. Yeah, developers are like, “Nah, too much power.” This is happening across Xbox, PC, PS5, and all that jazz.
So, what’s the deal with Stendhal? Okay, listen, in Act 3, Maelle gets this killer move. It costs her eight Action Points (whatever those are), drains her Shields, and makes her super vulnerable for a while. But the damage it dishes out? Insane. Add a few buffs and — bam — it’s hitting for, like, over two billion damage. Imagine just one-shotting all the bosses with that. Even the last boss, who’s got, what, 45 million health? Toast. It’s bonkers!
Sandfall spilled the beans on why they’re nerfing it, saying they didn’t even plan this early. Guess the move was kinda weak during development—got a huge buff before launch, but whoops, went overboard. It’s overshadowing everything else. They say they still want players breaking the game, just not that easily. Like, it should be a challenge, right? Keeps things exciting.
Some gamers are all like, “Don’t mess with it, let us have fun!” But, personally, I’m relieved. It’s awesome when your strategy rules, but if you’re just casually steamrolling the whole game, it loses its edge. That thrill — that’s what makes Expedition 33 so engaging, no?
Okay, tangent — right, back to the point. If you’re feeling cheeky and wanna try this god-like power before the update hits, there’s this gamey combo: slap Act 2’s Painted Power Picto on Maelle. It breaks the 9,999 damage cap. Then throw in some buffs like Confident Fighter or Inverted Affinity. Your damage will be off the charts. It’s what the cool kids are doing — until tomorrow, anyway.
“We’ve got a hotfix coming your way!” Sandfall says. Steam first, then the rest. Post-change, Stendhal will still be a solid move, just not god-tier. Bummer for some, I’m sure. But wait — someone already found another epic combo with Maelle’s Gommage skill. I swear, these gamers are relentless.
“Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” is out now for like, 50 bucks? But there’s a sweet deal on CDKeys for $36.19. A must-play if you dig turn-based RPGs. Seriously.
