Oh boy, here we go. So, there’s this game, Tales of the Shire. It’s like right around the corner, bringing out the Hobbit in all of us. Imagine living like a Hobbit. Seriously, seems like we’ve been waiting forever, but brace yourselves, ’cause July is the magic month. Finally, right? It’s like all these Lord of the Rings games out there, mostly about Sauron and bad guys—but this one? Nah, it’s all about the cozy Hobbit vibes. Kinda refreshing if you ask me. And yeah, while you’re waiting, there’s plenty to keep you busy.
Anyway—where was I? Oh right, games to hold you over.
Stardew Valley. You’ve heard of it, haven’t you? It’s basically the dream farm life sim. Hours can just melt away with this one. Hardcore fans, newbies, everyone finds something to love about it. Wonder if those Shire folks took a hint from this game. Feels like they must have, right? Oh, and the creator of Stardew Valley? Off making something called Haunted Chocolatier. Sounds spooky-fun.
Then there’s The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. It’s not exactly cozy-cozy—more of a laid-back survival base-building thing. You get to play a Dwarf fixing up the place. Mixed reviews at first, but hey, fans on Steam are all in.
And then, there’s Palia. Free-to-play and fantasy-packed. Got this vibrant world thing going on. Crafting, exploration, and lore. Definitely could give you that Shire-feeling without being in, well, the Shire. Sorta like a sneak peek snack.
Now, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Ah, good old Animal Crossing. It’s been around forever, and people just love making their little towns perfect, chatting up animals and stuff. Seriously, who hasn’t spent way too many hours on that island?
Okay, last but not least, The Lord of the Rings Online. Going strong since 2007. People love it for its story and how it captures Tolkien’s world. Doesn’t need fancy graphics, it just feels right.
So yeah, lots to dive into while you’re waiting for that Hobbit adventure to drop. And who knows, maybe you’ll find a new favorite along the way!
