Wow, so get this. Neat Corp, the guys who made Budget Cuts, are at it again with a new VR game called Crossings. It’s all about winding through the Norse afterlife, I think. You’re swinging swords and casting spells—sounds intense, right?
Anyway, it’s a co-op roguelite. You wander around this bizarre, ever-changing world. Like one minute you’re here, the next—who knows? Maybe it all feels random, maybe not. You’re basically out for revenge, or survival—whichever comes first, I guess. But hey, you’re also bumping into lost souls—no chit-chat though, just pure VR vibes as you bash your way through Trolls and Draugr. Yeah, I had to Google Draugr too.
Each time you play, you pick up some new magic or get to upgrade your Viking weapons. We’re talking axes and things called ‘Tooth of Nör.’ Why do these names always sound so epic? Whatever, seems cool. Trolls and ghosts don’t stand a chance—or maybe they do. Depends on how good you are at blocking and dodging. And, oh man, the magic timing? That’s a whole skill set right there.
So, Neat Corp puts it like this: You wake up alone, where death meets memory—kinda spooky, right? Your body’s gone but your spirit’s kicking. In Crossings, it’s all shifting landscapes shaped by old powers, blah blah. Wordless co-op—no talking, just movement. How do they come up with this stuff? Apparently, you face off with mythical creatures, and you get to make choices that actually matter. Sounds deep, but also, how much does it really matter in a game, you know?
You’ve got no release date, just the ol’ wishlist tease on Horizon Store and Steam. But wait, plot twist! A demo’s dropping around October 14th during Steam Next Fest. It’s a solo slice—because who doesn’t want a taste of the action first?
This all seems… pretty wild, but maybe that’s the point. Crossings, man. Keep your VR headsets ready, or don’t. Just putting it out there.
