Big Pikachu’s Got the Chatter
So, there I was, trying to keep up with all the buzz from the latest Pokemon Presents. Seriously, Big Pikachu seemed like it had way too much caffeine — there’s, like, a zillion things happening. I mean, where do you even start? New Z-A details, a massive Pokemon Go shindig, and all that jazz.
Okay, let’s just dive right in — I nearly fell off my chair when I heard about “Pokemon Friends.” It apparently sneaked onto the iOS App Store early, like some overeager rabbit. Kind of funny, really. Anyway, it’s on Switch and Android too — if you’re into puzzles and plushies and, well, microtransactions. And sure, you can hop onto the eShop and snag it for $9.99 — or whatever that equals in your neck of the woods. Why 9.99 though, right? Why not just ten bucks?
Oh, and they threw in a bit about the 2025 World Championships too – “Championship Sunday” gets an epic arena stage at Anaheim’s Honda Center. Used to be Arrowhead Pond — where the Anaheim Ducks quack around. Random side note: always thought that was kinda a cool name.
Switching gears (as my brain was trying to keep track), there’s Pokemon Concierge on Netflix. Season 2 is out September 4th. And then there’s this cool Aardman gig (you know, those Wallace & Gromit geniuses), with “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu” planned for 2027. Just imagining the vibes.
Tokyo’s getting its own PokePark Kanto too. Early 2026, right in time for the big 30th shindig. Gonna be wild. Meanwhile, Pokemon Masters EX ropes in Carmine from Scarlet and Violet on July 30. Probably should mark my calendar.
And for some more fun, Pokemon Cafe Remix is kicking off an ocean party today, complete with Lapras and Totodile in snazzy outfits. Just picturing them makes me grin.
Oh, oh! Remember Latias? It’s crashing into Pokemon Unite on August 8. And, get this: playing volleyball with Electrode. Like, what?? Sounds electrifying, if you ask me.
The trading card game’s gone a bit bonkers too. Showcased some new Mega Evolution cards — which, surprise surprise, are already gone. Poof.
Now, if you’re still reading (because my brain’s still spinning), there’s a series of raid battles hitting Pokemon Scarlet and Violet tomorrow. Those fierce “Treasures of Ruin” legendaries, huh? Gotta defeat them a million times for shiny versions. No joke. And something about Mass Outbreaks is happening too.
Pokemon Champions is joining the chaos with, hold up — rentable Pokemon?! Plus tweaking effort values and nature — directly, no less. All in the 2026 release. Talk about customization, right?
And there it is. Somehow, I found a way to squeeze all that into one chaotic ramble. Hope you enjoyed the ride!
