Summary
I mean, it’s a lot of Pokémon all at once, and maybe shiny ones too.
Oh, and there’s something about a Garchomp Tera Raid and a free Porygon2.
Okay, so Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are up to their usual tricks, closing May with a Bug-type Mass Outbreak event running May 30 to June 1. If you’re into these silk-spinning bugs, this weekend’s your jam.
These Mass Outbreaks, they’re like… a regular thing now, right? Players get to catch tons of specific Pokémon and maybe score ones with killer stats. Plus, shiny Pokémon odds? Better during these events. Worth breaking out the ol’ Poké Balls.
Jumping back, or was it forward? Anyway, they’re bringing a Silk-themed Mass Outbreak Event. Bug-types, y’know. Tarountula, Spinarak, Venonat, all chilling in Paldea, Kitakami, and Terarium. Starts May 29 at 5 pm Pacific, ends June 1 just shy of 5 pm PT. Shiny hunting gets easier with these boosted rates, so get on it if that’s your vibe.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Players Have Things to Do and Look Forward To
So, while this whole bug-collecting frenzy goes on, there’s also the not-so-small matter of a second Garchomp the Unrivaled Seven-Star Tera Raid happening. All at the same time. Who thought of this scheduling? Anyway, Garchomp’s gonna be a Ground Tera type. Not sure why that matters — someone tell me if it does?
Oh, and then there’s this Porygon2 giveaway. Feels like a “wait, there’s more!” moment. After the South Korea Pokémon Trainers Cup on June 7-8, they’ll toss out a Mystery Gift code. Not a bad deal, right?
Even though Pokémon Scarlet and Violet hit the scene almost three years ago, they’re still making waves. But, of course, some folks might be zeroed in on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, supposedly launching this year. Sneaky, isn’t it? And rumors of a Nintendo Direct? That’s, like, a red alert for Pokémon fans. Eyes peeled, everyone!
