I’m wandering through this VR maze, seriously. So, there’s this game, COLD VR, right? Yeah, it’s by these folks at ALLWARE, with Perp Games tagging along. And they’re doing this wild update thing next month. June 2nd, if you wanna mark your calendars. They’re dubbing this COLD VR: SUB-ZERO Edition. Sounds chilly, but it’s not about temp—the game’s all about scrambling your brain with time, like, slow motion when you move. Weird, right? Total twist on that Superhot vibe.
But wait—what’s the deal with these updates? They’re throwing in five whole new levels. Yeah, five! For Quest and PC VR, so if you’re on one of those, lucky you. And there’s this new main campaign—new baddies, too. Supposedly making the whole experience flow better. Have you ever fought an enemy while everything’s lagging? Ugh, the worst.
Oh, and the Backroom levels? You don’t HAVE to go there anymore. Optional, for those who, like me, get seriously distracted.
And the menu? It’s waving goodbye to the old look. Fresh, so you can dive right into whatever chaos suits you without delay. Also—catching weapons, new visuals, room-scale movement, and bHaptics vests. Feels like they’re making it a whole body thing. Need to work on my reflexes.
What about PSVR 2? Still on the back burner, but they promise it’s coming. So, if you’re itching to play right now, check it out on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and Steam. Twenty bucks, not too shabby for a slice of mind-bending action.
Anyway, if you were ever curious about what VR dreamscapes infused with frantic action look like, there you go. Just make sure you’ve got your gear ready.
