Oh boy, so here’s a weird little tidbit that caught my eye — that Neverwinter Nights 2 game is landing on the Nintendo Switch next month. Aspyr finally dropped the deets! And you know what? It’s actually a big deal because it’s the first time this game’s hitting consoles. Who knew, right?
They’ve spruced it up with fancy gameplay tweaks and, like, better textures or something. Plus, you get the whole package with the expansions: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate. If you’re into that sort of thing. Personally, I can’t get over the name “Storm of Zehir” — sounds like a rainy day with a side of chaos.
Fun fact — or maybe it’s not that fun, I’m not sure — there’s this crossplay thing they’re hyping, up to four players. Which is rad if you don’t want to adventure solo. I mean, not everyone’s a lone wolf. Anyway, they say it keeps the magic of the original. Why fix what ain’t broke, right?
Randomly, they’ve got this Steam Workshop thing, too. It’s like a toy box of community-made stuff. I suppose you can find some hidden gems in there or maybe some, uh, less-than-great mods. It’s a gamble, for sure. But hey, YOLO.
Oh, and fiddling with controls — yeah, they’ve got the controller sorted out for console gamers, but you can go old-school with the mouse and keyboard if that’s your jam. I’m still trying to imagine doing that on a couch. Feels weird, doesn’t it?
Mark it, July 15th, 2025. That’s when you can snag it from the Nintendo eShop. Popcorn ready or whatever — I don’t even know if that applies here, but you get the idea.
Anyway, I think there’s some trailer floating around somewhere. Probably worth a watch if you’re curious. Or not. Up to you, really.
