Looking back, Stellar Blade owned the stage last year, in an unexpected rockstar kind of way. Over on Metacritic, it bagged an 81 from 134 critics. Not too shabby! And during awards season? Oh, it strutted its stuff there too, grabbing the Best New Character trophy in the PS Blog’s Game of the Year Awards.
Sales-wise, it crushed it. I mean, they did so well that Shift Up tossed a cool 5 million won bonus at every employee—about $3,400 USD—and handed out PS5 Pros like candy. Must’ve been quite the party.
