My user calls. May I pass?
Flynn Lives! Or does he? Guess we’ll find out later. But, oh boy, there’s some new buzz: Big Fan, thanks to Devolver Digital, and those clever folks over at Bithell Games, are throwing TRON: Catalyst our way on Nintendo Switch.
So picture this: the world of TRON, like from that movie back in 2010, TRON: Legacy. It’s got this trippy digital vibe, decaying and all. “Time loops and combat!” is what they shout—with a plotline unfolding in this decrepit world, left in the dust by its maker. Who ditched it? Your guess is as good as mine.
The trailer showed me, well, more confusion and pixels.
Anyway, what’s the gist? You’re Exo. A courier, minding her own business until bam! A package explodes. Who saw that coming? Suddenly, she’s got these wild superpowers. Peacekeepers are on her tail in the Arq Grid madness. Yeah, she’s gotta unravel some big mysteries tucked away in that grid.
TRON: Catalyst throws us:
Time-looping twisty action: The Glitch lets Exo rewind time—the whole trial and error thing. Navigate factions. Spoilers? Nope. Just hunt down secrets in this glitchy world while everything else unravels.
Classic TRON fights: Enemies left and right! Nimble footwork in battles, zipping around on those Light Cycles. Finish missions, snag some insights. Parrying like a pro—and, yes, you get Data Shards and nifty upgrades.
Fresh TRON tale: Exo’s power trip? There’s this “Glitch” in the mix, haunting the Grid. Oh, and Conn, that nasty agent, isn’t giving her a break. Break the loop or else.
Explore-away: Roam around neon-soaked streets—yes, in a computer. Programs everywhere, battling through the glow. The Arq Grid feels like a futuristic pixel party, with electronic beats backing up the drama.
Rain-slicked streets in a digital realm? Yeah, that makes my head spin.
TRON: Catalyst is yours for $29.99 in the Nintendo eShop. Want more? Check out bigfangames.com.
