Sure thing, let’s dive into this like I’m having a chat over coffee.

So, here I am, just mindlessly scrolling, and bam! I stumble onto something that smells like magic mixed with dirt—like earthy, enchanting goodness. “Ritual of Raven,” this super chill, cozy farming sim, is about to hit Nintendo Switch on August 7. Who would’ve thought a random Tuesday could be so magical, right?
Anyway, you grab this “Book of Shadows”—sounds mysterious, doesn’t it?—and it’s all about casting spells. But, hold on, you’re not even doing the farming! Instead, you get these tiny magical helpers called Arcana Constructs. I guess they’re like mystical mini-gardeners? They sprout your magical herbs while you kick back. Efficient or lazy? You decide.
So the story goes: some wild dreaming folks tried opening portals between worlds—and predictably messed it all up. Oops. They each lost something uber-important, and now these portals have gone all wonky, spitting out all sorts of random stuff and people. Typical.
Now, through one of these crazy portals, poof, you land in this new world! Enter Sage, the local witch (not the herb kind). She figures you’re the perfect sidekick for her quest and takes you in like an apprentice. Cute, right? Your mission (should you choose to accept) involves helping her find Flufferstoop, her missing Familiar—I mean, who loses a Familiar?
Your own sidekick, Raven, the ruinously cheeky Familiar, is right there with you. With its help, you’re gathering the goods and know-how to do big rituals. You’re also filling up that Book of Shadows, trying to meet these so-called Portal Keepers, and stabilizing those pesky portals. Quite the to-do list, if you ask me.
Oh, and picture this: the Arcana Constructs! Imagine a kid stuck using cards in a card game, but instead, these cards enchant your little buddies to manage the garden—plowing, watering, harvesting. Hands-free magic gardening! Just collect those 22 Constructs and, boom, you have your magical herb haven.
Now, the people—or creatures—you meet? They’re an odd bunch but interesting. Trading and befriending them could bring about cool items and stories, no doubt. Everyone’s got stories buried within.
One quirky thing: there’s this whole moon phase business. It’s like, your crops are moon-tied, and somehow these phases play a big role—mystical moon stuff, right? And hey, don’t forget the decor! Pistachio’s place has enough wacky furniture to make your farm feel like a home—or at least an eccentric wizard’s hideout.
As you’re wrestling with all this, there’s still so much left to explore. You’re completing collections, extracting and fusing crystals, fishing artifacts from those crazy portals—keeps you on your toes.
Stick around for more once I dive deeper into “Ritual of Raven” by Team17 and Spellgarden Games. Let’s see what mess of spells and surprises this turns into. Stay tuned at PS4Blog.net!
