It’s wild, but guess what? EA and PopCap are at it again. Yup, they’re bringing that quirky Plants vs. Zombies vibe to Nintendo Switch 2. Also hits the regular Switch. Classic, right?
This isn’t just a rehash of the OG game with some fresh paint. Nope. It’s like they pumped steroids into it or something. The HD graphics got a glow-up, and now you can thrash around in co-op or PvP modes. That means more ways to totally lose track of time and accidentally realize you’ve spent five hours defending your lawn. Oh, and—get this—there are new modes. Totally new bits of franchise lore chucked in, offering what they call “frantic, unforgettable fun.” Who decides what’s unforgettable anyway?
Let’s see, they’ve laid out a few must-know features for us. Buddy up with your pal on the couch, slap the controllers into co-op or, if you’re feeling spicy, go head-to-head in PvP. Expect chaos, obviously. Cloudy Day Mode is a thing now—kinda limits your sunlight and planting mojo. Oddly challenging. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Minigames are back, those little nuggets of joy, plus you’ve got the fan-favorite lane defense out in full force. Oh! And there’s a treasure chest of Plants vs. Zombies history tucked in there. Dive into it to uncover why this plant-on-zombie action took over our world in the first place.
Circle your calendar, folks—October 23, 2025, is the magic date. That’s when it lands on the Nintendo eShop. Get ready to download and dive in. The backyard won’t defend itself, you know.
Right, there’s a trailer and probably some screenshots somewhere if you’re into checking those out. Just a heads-up.
In any case, that’s all I’ve got for now. Over and out—or something.
