Okay, here goes nothing. So, today I stumbled upon this wild showcase event by THQ Nordic — and seriously, it felt like one of those times you’re in a candy store with a hundred bucks. You know what I mean? Too many goodies, not enough time. Anyway, what caught my eye was this new SpongeBob thing — “Titans of the Tide.” It’s got the whole Patrick-SpongeBob switcheroo, which I never thought I needed until now. Plus, freakin’ David Hasselhoff’s involved. Can’t make this stuff up.
So, pre-orders are happening as we speak. And yeah, they’re throwing in some costume pack if you order now — think it’s called “Natural Costume Pack”? Sounds kinda funny. But hey, there’s a bunch of fancy editions too, with extra challenges and costume packs. Games sure love their extras these days.
Next, there’s Gothic Remake — a blast from the past but shinier, I guess. They dropped a demo today. I think it’s just to whet our appetites. But word on the street says it won’t be in the final release. Kinda like getting a taste of cake batter but no full cake. Oh, and they’ve mentioned they’ll bundle up some classics for the new consoles in a few years. Something to chew on while waiting.
Now, this “Eternal Life of Goldman” trailer — seems all doom and exploration like one of those gritty indie films with unexpected layers. Only it’s a game. Platformer, by the way, which is fun because, well, not everything needs to be a fifty-hour RPG saga.
“Reanimal” — I mean, who comes up with these names? But okay, it’s got this whole horror vibe, likely to mess with your head — in a good way. Multiplayer options too. So, you could drag your buddy along through the spooky mess. Sounds kinda enticing, doesn’t it?
Then there’s “Tides of Tomorrow,” which left me scratching my head and intrigued at the same time. It’s got this decision-making feature that supposedly reshapes the world or something. Could be cool or could turn into a sweaty-palmed existential crisis. Either way, worth checking out, I’d say.
Wreckfest 2! This demolition derby thing. It’s pure chaos, let me tell you. Not coming until 2026, though, so time to perfect that “crash but don’t burn” technique if you catch my drift.
Oh, and Titan Quest II — this one dives into ancient Greece. Mythology, monsters, no ceilings kind of adventure. Again, it’s a 2026 thing. Guess 2026 is gonna be stacked!
Finally, Wreckreation — sounds wild with all those racing and stunt mix-ins. I mean, you can drive over a dinosaur if you feel like it! They’re quite literally handing you the keys to mayhem.
And yeah, Gamescom’s around the corner, with hands-on stuff. Can’t wait to see what they’ll show. If only life had a fast-forward button sometimes, right?
