Alright, buckle up, ’cause here we go. So, there’s this thing called Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist, right? It’s a VR game, and folks are saying it’s like a love letter to Orbus VR, which, if I’m being honest, kind of faded away recently. I mean, who didn’t see that coming? Anyway, Eldramoor’s going big with a Kickstarter starting June 24th. And they’re looking to grab some cash to get it rolling on Quest 3 and SteamVR, hopefully by late next year? Give or take.
Now, here’s a bit of a backstory—Resolute Games is the crew behind it. Apparently, they’re old Orbus fans who’ve decided, “Hey, if nobody else can do it right, might as well be us.” A studio popped up from nothing in February 2024. Talk about determination, huh?
So, this place, Eldramoor, you’re supposed to follow a hero named Eldranis. Kind of your typical fantasy hero stuff. Fight bad guys, learn some trades, and hang at the tavern playing mini-games. Sounds like a regular Tuesday night, honestly. But, oh, there’s a twist! A dark force… ’cause there’s always gotta be one, right? It’s been lurking and it’s up to you to save the day. Classic.
You’ve got your Warriors, Mages, Monks, and Alchemists—I’m guessing potions are gonna be big here. And, oh, those PvP zones! Three of them. Plus activities like fishing and smithing, which might not all be there on day one, but hey, surprises are fun, right?
But they’re being a bit hush-hush about stretch goals and funding tiers. Imagine asking for $25,000 to kick things off—same as Zenith. That’s the goal, anyway.
VR MMORPGs had it rough lately, just saying. Remember Orbus closing? And Zenith’s creators, Ramen VR, decided to take a breather ’cause, you know, money doesn’t grow on trees. But, surprisingly, Ilysia VR is still going. The Kickstarter magic in action, I guess.
Lynn M. Souza, the head honcho at Resolute, chatted on Discord—something like they were all in love with Ilysia’s idea. Quite the fan, yeah. So, this game, it’s supposed to hit us in December 2026, maybe PC VR and Meta Quest 3, and whatever else shows up by then. Alpha by the end of 2025, beta in Summer 2026.
Anyway, their Kickstarter runs from June 24th to July 24th if you’re curious. And they’ve got a Steam page live so you can give that a look.
And there we have it. Hope that didn’t feel like riding in the passenger seat of a roller coaster!
