The Honkai: Star Rail development team is incredibly excited to share a sneak peek of version 2.7, titled “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn,” dropping on December 4. This is the finale to our current storyline in Penacony, gearing us up for the upcoming adventure into Amphoreus, the mysterious Eternal Land. As we close this chapter, we eagerly anticipate the new narratives that version 3.0 will bring.

Previously, Black Swan nudged our crew towards Amphoreus—a realm shrouded in mystery, even elusive to Akivili, the Aeon of the Trailblaze. While Miss Himeko, our Navigator, cautiously gathers intel about this enigmatic destination, the crew takes a moment to relish their final stop in Penacony. They enjoy heartwarming reunions and create unforgettable memories as they prepare for the next big leap.

### Old Friends Making a Comeback

Remember the electrifying performances at the Penacony Grand Theater? Those times feel almost like they happened yesterday. It’s not just the Astral Express or Penacony shaking off their slumber—Sunday has awakened too. Sharing the stage with Mr. Sunday once more is profoundly stirring. With his decision to step down as the head of the Oak Family, he’s decided to “Descend to the mortal realm and walk their lands. See what this world is truly like.” Freeing himself from the blessings of Harmony and Order, Sunday sets out to carve his idea of utopia as a simple mortal. With a helping hand from the elusive Wonweek, a Pepeshi, he returns to Penacony to deliver one last unforgettable show before embarking on his new quest. His new attire and concealed identity add a mystique to his final dance in the Planet of Festivities.

Sunday, as a 5-star Imaginary character, showcases unique support skills. His skill allows an ally to act immediately and boosts their damage dealt. If the ally has a Summon, it too can act promptly, enhancing the damage further. Sunday’s Ultimate regenerates energy for one ally, elevating them and their Summon to a Beatified state, where they gain a CRIT DMG boost from a bestowed halo.

Next, we have the intriguing Fugue, the evolved identity of our dear friend Tingyun. Once a cunning foxian girl, Tingyun now struggles with her stolen identity. Her fate seemed dim after barely surviving an encounter with Phantylia in version 1.2’s main storyline, but Madam Ruan Mei from the Genius Society saved her, offering a second lease on life. Himeko and Welt recently connected with Madam Ruan Mei, promising to guide Tingyun back home.

Fugue, a 5-star Fire character, excels in supporting allies, specifically reducing enemy toughness regardless of their Type Weaknesses. Her presence introduces the Cloudflame Luster state to enemies; when this state hits zero, the enemy receives Break DMG anew. Additionally, when teammates strike Weakness Broken enemies, they inflict Super Break DMG. Fugue’s Technique can heighten allies’ Break Effect, and her Ultimate deals Fire DMG to all foes, ignoring Weakness Types to diminish their toughness directly.

Returning in version 2.7’s warp event are the limited 5-star characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly—each offering formidable support and proving indispensable in your future endeavors.

### Exciting New Gameplay Features for Version 2.7 and Beyond

Beyond just new characters and story arcs, version 2.7 is set to offer Trailblazers an even more immersive experience. Step into the newly adorned Party Car of the Astral Express, where elegance meets nostalgia. Picture this: guests are greeted by a spacious area that boasts a sleek marble bar and a classic bartending robot. With the cosmos as your backdrop, you can enjoy a drink and a moment of reflection or camaraderie with the Express Crew.

A flight of stairs leads you to the Trailblazer’s personal quarters. Within the Cosmic Home Décor Guide event, transform an empty storage room into your private sanctuary, complete with bedrooms and bathrooms. Express Funds, earned from various tasks, help you piece together furniture to craft your star-bound home.

But there’s more! Version 3.0 promises to revamp the Relic system. By utilizing a new item called Wishful Resin alongside Self-Modeling Resin, you can customize a Relic’s Main and Sub Stats simultaneously.

Before signing off, there’s a special surprise. While tidying up the Trailblazer’s storage, Pom-Pom discovered something extraordinary. From version 2.7’s release until version 3.2 ends, Trailblazers can claim a Gift of the Express, choosing one 5-star character of their liking.
